Chrome Extension Privacy Policy

The PatchReply Chrome extension is operated by NMajor Studios LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. Its single purpose is to let you review web pages: leave Notes and Text edits on a page and export or share them as a Review report. This policy covers the extension; our Privacy Policy covers the website and accounts.
The current extension is a local testing preview. It supports typed Notes and Text edits. Voice recording and publishing public links from the extension are not available in this preview.
1. What stays on your device
When you start a review and deliberately add a Note (by holding your chosen modifier key and clicking, or using Add note), the extension records on your device:
- the page address and title, and details of the element, text, point, or area you selected;
- a screenshot of that part of the page, including surrounding context, and a small overview of the visible viewport;
- capture details such as browser, operating system, window size, and color scheme; and
- the text of your Note or Text edit.
The extension does not use Chrome’s browsing-history API or read browser cookies. While you review a page, it reads the page address, title, and location details needed to attach your Notes. Screenshots are taken only when you deliberately create a Note or Text edit. A screenshot or selected target can include surrounding page text, visible form content, or other sensitive information. Review your capture before exporting it.
2. Voice notes
The local preview does not request microphone access, record audio, store transcription credentials, or contact a transcription provider. Voice is planned for a later version. Before it is enabled, this policy and the extension will identify the provider, explain when audio is sent, and describe credential storage and deletion.
3. What leaves your device, and only when you choose
- Exports (Review report, JSON, Agent prompt) are created on your device and go wherever you save or paste them.
- Public links: the local extension preview does not upload or publish reviews. Public reports created through the website are covered by the website Privacy Policy.
4. Limited Use
The use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use data only to provide the extension’s review features. We don’t sell it, use it for advertising, use it to determine creditworthiness, or let people read it except with your permission, for security, or as required by law.
5. Deleting data
Reviews are stored in the extension’s local browser storage, without browser sync. Screenshots are stored on the extension’s own origin. You can delete saved reviews through History. Completed local reviews expire after the retention period selected in Settings, 30 days by default, when the extension next runs. Active reviews remain until you finish or delete them. Removing the extension deletes its local data. Exports you already saved or pasted remain at their destination. Website public links can be deleted from your dashboard, and deleting your account deletes those links.
